might ease up on the before and afters, I am getting RSI from clicking and dragging,
benjamina grows like a weed in NQ so many of my first collected trees are these, many of them have been kept in restrictive pots for the life span, some though were planted over rocks or other items as a I have posted in the previous, just some other examples;
this one certainly has a great fused root system over this rock but has also almost completely swallowed a small temple ornament that was placed on it also at the beginning. Firstly a new shoot shot up beside it and I managed to wrap this around it and continue the growth, it got so prevalent it cracked the top off the temple, that however has since died and I have cut it back, the tree though has continued to grow around the temple, knocking it askew

My first bonsai on returning to NQ ten years ago, started its like buried for two years. The tree was taken from a neighbours gutter and seeing the potential of the long roots this is the result. Even ten years ago I was influenced by the Indonesian ruins mentioned in previous posts;
only put in this pot 3 months ago, this tree and its foliage is looking to be the best it has ever looked

OMG, are you really trying a literati fig??!!
Sorry to anyone who takes offence and no its not a mistake or error, this tree has been like this for the eight or so years I have had it, so is my fault. Bought as branch stuck in a pot with a single shoot on it, it was my first carved/ hollowed trunk experiment. I have since carried this all the way along the trunk/ branch.
You don't have to like it, I wont be offended.
Put in to this rough hand made concrete pot also three months ago,

I think you may be able to get that last cascading fig to maybe look something like this, I found this image on google images and I don't know it's origin, but being available to world wide access I thought it would be OK to put it here.
