Thinking about putting protection cloth on my plants. Don't even know if they laid any eggs on foliage, branches and soil.
Also its yellow underneath, no bugger than 10-20c coin in diameter
Is there a way to get rid of them?Guy wrote:looks like some type of tree borer--if so can be nasty on larger trees
Do you know what it is though, Longicorn Beetle?? Tree Borer family?MoGanic wrote:I actually had these all over my garden. They didn't touch any of my trees though... They must have good taste in Bonsai haha.
In all seriousness though, never had an issue with em.

Soldiers Beetles for sure. They won't cause any issues for your trees and they'll be gone as soon as it starts to cool down. I had them for a couple of months, never saw them damaging a tree and barely ever on a tree, seems they're more interested in mating haha.xIIRevoEvoS wrote:Do you know what it is though, Longicorn Beetle?? Really don't want my trees dying if they end up causing problems

I assumed the shape of these beetles placed them in the same catagory as the local beetle borers we have here---Guy wrote:looks like some type of tree borer--if so can be nasty on larger trees
