Mesh

Post by xIIRevoEvoS »

Has anyone bought mesh from bunnings for pots?
Bought them once, around 200grams in weight but cannot find the plastic version which cost no less than $10. It had 2-3mm hole but the one I found today was in the gutter section which cost $40 for a roll and its metal - corrosion free.

Mesh the same as this post viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19264&p=196083&hilit=mesh#p196083

Cannot recall the name since it didn't come in sheet form but in a tube like roll
Kind Regards

I found some, after a long look at Bunnings at Terrey Hills. Its brown plastic 2mm holes in was a 5 or 10 metre roll. It is gutter guard I don't have the label anymore and there were only a few rolls at that store.

Plastic mesh tree protectors from bunnings. Come in a pack of 3 or 4.

I use fibreglass plasterboard jointing tape. Comes in a roll about 5cm wide, slightly adhesive on the back so it will stay in place in clean pots - 20 m for around $7. http://www.bunnings.com.au/builders-edg ... 3_p0730318
Just not quite wide enough for the largest pots with really big holes.
Mesh size is a little bit smaller than the plastic bonsai mesh but I have had no problems over about 10 years.

Funny this should come up now... I just saw a similar product in Home Hardware but it was black and the roll wasn't quite 5m long...

I recently bought some mesh from the Big Green Shed... fibreglass I think, and I got it from the screens/flyscreens section. If I remember right the price was reasonable and I'm sure happy with the stuff.
Peace
