Cheers guys, however now i face another dilema, being now a scots pine or Mugo Pine, it preferes to be cut back and repotted in the summer.. and now we are into april.

See what you mean about the reverse taper. Will a larger pot help that? or cutting back on the top to force some growth out the bottom??

Hey guys, so I had a few wines last night, and after much careful and I assure you, well though out consideration I have the pine a bit of a cut back to the middle buds on most branches, an even better bend, and a new apex. Right side will be a cluster of flat pads in the end. Now will just let it grow into that for a while and see how it fills out. Did a careful repot too. Basically took the whole thing and lifted it into a bigger pot

Looking much better scooter. Just needs some more movement in the top. Maybe a curve back the other way. Then let it grow freely to build strength and vigour.

Yeah looking at the picture see what you mean about the bend back the other way, good call, might give it a nudge over tonight when i get home.
