Help with Juni PLEASE

Post by Damian79 »

Hi Guys
One of my Junis has started turning brown. This started on the bottom branch and is slowly working its way up. I have already removed two of the bottom branches as the turned brown and died. I tried everything I can think of. Sprayed for pests, moved to a sunnier part of the yard changed the soil and checked the roots nothing seem to be helping.
What do I do???
Cheers in advance

Might be seiridium canker - or cypress canker. I have been told to try a copper fungicide but I think its more a preventative than a cure. :(

Is any of the new growth distorted, if so it could be PHOMA treat with a copper based fungicide. All over the plant and soil.

Cheers Pup

I do recommend the copper spray but remember that the affected branch is lost.

I had the same problem...
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18609&start=30
took me a while to figure out but got there :)
I had to hit it with copper spray religiously for a few months before i got on top of it and now the tree is fine. Did loose a few branches before that.
Get onto it asap.

Did you try and bend the branch too far? i had a similar effect but it was pretty obvious that i bent it too far and just broke the branch.. just died off after that.

Nah Didn't bend this one too far. Was going fine then the lower branches just died off and it seems to be traveling up the tree.

Hi guys
the only copper sulphate I could find is the Yates bluestone powered stuff?
The directions say not to apply directly to foliage?
Have you heard of this type before?
Cheers

Yeah that's a good question. I think I have a similar problem. What "copper spray" does everyone use?
