Cedar clump urgent repair

Post by Gerard »

The smallest tree in my cedar clump is in need of repair/re-design.
An anchor wire damaged the bark a couple of years ago, this became evident a few months back when the apex of the tree became weak. I avoided pinching and pruning but eventually the sap stopped flowing to the apex and left me with a dead apex and a strong first branch.

Sme serious bending and a new anchor wire and the group is well on its way to recovery

Looking good.
A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.
