Thanks Ryan
We have not had much luck. I guess it was a long time ago. Someone suggested Ausbonsai may be a good place to start.

Hey Jeff,

I'm almost certain this tree used to reside at Bonsai Art nursery...

I saw it several times there with a thick full cascade canopy and if memory serves me right, that photo was displayed right next to the tree.

Might want to pay Trevor? a visit and see if he can tell you any more about the tree.

Cheers,
Mo

Further to this post, the woman in the photograph is Megumi Bennett from Bonsai Art, so it possible the tree was there for while. Contact Megumi I'm sure she will remember.

Just a heads up that's two different Bonsai Art nurseries we speak of... Trevor's is the one on old Dandenong road, whereas Megumi's is up in Sydney (now owned by her son Alex I believe?)

Good eye on you PAC being able to spot that it is Megumi Bennet! Indeed, then, she would be the best person to contact.

Cheers,
Mo

Copy that Mo, yes although Alex is running the nursery Megumi and Brian (her husband ) are there on and off. The new nursery is just down the road from the old one in Terrey Hills, NSW.

Hi Jeff,
That tree certainly looks like the one worked on by Kimura. Bonsai Art owned the tree and the young man beside Kimura did the workshop on the tree. He was working for Bonsai Art at the time.

This looks to be when Kimura was in Australia last time which was at the 2005 AABC convention hosted in Sydney.

That could be the starting point of any searches.
