Meleleuca tragic chasing 'claret top' cultivar

Does anybody know where I can pick up 'claret top' seedlings on the east coast?

I got them from Bunnings in Spring last year. Not sure if they are currently stocking them though.

You can get these seedlings from the Cumberland State Forest nursery in Castle Hill. Less than 1 hour drive from Sydney CBD.

Most native nurseries would stock them, but Cumberland State Forest have actual seedlings as you asked for. They aren't really cheap, as they are $3.50 each seedling, and would only be pencil thickness. They have oodles of stock to try too.

I don't think you will actually be able to get 'claret tops' seedlings. 'Claret tops' is a cultivar so needs to be propagated asexually - usually grown as cuttings but should be quite easily available.
If they are growing them from seed then they should be labelled Melaleuca linariifolia because that is the original species and most cultivars are variable when grown from seed.

Should be in most specialist native nurseries but often also available in general nurseries. If your local place doesn't have any just ask them to get some for you.

Thanks to each of you for that information. I seem to remember one variation called cultivated Meleleuca linariifolia purpureum or simliar.
