Apple gets new Pat Kennedy Pot
I dug this apple base 4 or 5 years ago and put it aside to recover. Last year I put it in a small (cheap) pot just to see how it looked. Since then I have become quite fond of the possibilities for this small bonsai and as such I decided a "proper" pot was required for it.
I was the lucky recipient of this pot a few years ago and I have been keeping it for the right tree and I hope this is a good match. Firstly here is how the tree was looking.

Is that root over rock, or just a gnarly looking trunk?
Nice pot choice too!

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.

Nice tree.
Had a bit of a chuckle as the first pic after the box made me think how ugly that pot was - good thing it was wrapping!
Cheers

Brilliant!Watto wrote:Jarad - its all apple, no rocks.
I like the angle of the second image because it really shows that gnarly base.

Re: Apple gets new Pat Kennedy Pot
You need to make to most of a decent base when you get one so hopefully this one will continue to look the goods. I really need to take another photo outside but it has been raining non-stop for a few days now. The outside photo will show the pot in a better light I think.

Re: Apple gets new Pat Kennedy Pot
Thanks Pat. It will get brand new green leaves but there won't be any flowers this year. I will take another photo when in leaf.
