Viewing in person may have been different but the lighting is definitely not conducive to photo's!

Looking forward to a full photo set of the individual trees, or a commemorative album to buy. The quality and finish of the trees look amazing.

It blows my mind that the three winning trees have only had 4 and 5 years training.

Collected material wins.....

..650yr old tree - 5yrs of training, I think mother nature gets most of the credit for that ;)

Love the lighting, would be a pain in the backside for photos, but adds a certain drama to the display i think. Very cool :tu: Some of those bonsai are just mind blowing!

There is something to be said for having good quality, species suitable and larger size aged yamadori available for being able to put on a world class show. If only all those evergreens that we know and love in bonsai had somehow found there way to Australia before we broke off and floated down south and were sitting there waiting for us. Heck, it would have been ok if the Brits had some forethought and sent a bunch out into the wilds with the convicts.
