Not quite a Phoenix.

Post by Firecat »

This a little project I have been working on for a year now.
Not a Phoenix graft but .
Dead wood is from a 'mirror bush nebari that was giving grief budding and dying within days and never growing feeders. Add a little smelly rot and it was time to hit the 'green waste bin. :?:
I De-barked sanded and shaped, put it in the 'oven on high for an hour to dry it out with the view that it would harden the timber.
This exercise was a success in itself followed up with 6 layers of clear coat to seal.
(3) Squamata seedlings (NO pics as it's taken me a while to realize that I can use my little KODAK for random shots and upload straight up without compressing to fit web site upload restriction)
are used and although in need of a 'prune have never looked back and are growing out fine.

Pot is Chinese oval 220x180x84mm with re cut 30mm drain holes after re pot.

Steve.
