New Growth on Oak Saplings

Post by Naimul »

So the Oak seeds that i received earlier this year have been growing strong, of the 8 i planted out 5 had sprouted. I just noticed some interesting growth which is different from the new growth that they had started with, and im not sure what it is especially since im not so familair with the sepcies.

On two of the tress they have started developing this kind of new growth

Whereas the remaining have this, which i assumed was the normal.

Both look OK to me
The first one looks like a new bud that ha not opened, where the second is the bud has opened and extended
