I've found this little bigger on one of trident maples as I was doing a trim. Any idea what it is??

Can trident maples handle a full defoliation? I'd like to fully remove all leaves so I can better see the branches and structure. Would make it quite a bit easier to work out what to keep and what to remove. Also what to wire.
Any advice would be great

Thanks

Trident maples can be fully defoliated.
Some growers defoliate tridents 2 or 3 times each year but the tree should be healthy.

Thanks shibui.
I believe my trees are quite healthy so I'll definitely do a defoliation in the next week or so

Thanks
