Hi all wanted to know if anyone has blackbean (Castanospermum Australe) specimens they could post pics of? or any experience/advice? I have an abundance of seeds and thought I'd give it a shot
Cheers.

Hey Dyll182
You probably won't see many Blackbeans in bonsai because of the fact they have compound leaves that make it harder to reduce leaf size which is desirable. They are certainly attractive trees with dark green glossy leaves and showy flowers. Once they get established they grow pretty quickly so thats a plus. I have planted many successfully just by pushing the large seeds into mulched ground after rain with the toe of my boot. Sorry I can't help with picture but I'd give them a try.

They love it inside with good light and will be divided up in a while with a couple of group plantings and maybe a few singles as well..
