I'm finally constructing my 2.4m 2 shelf bench/stand in the coming weeks.
I currently have a irrigation controller with a temp drippers on a temp bench which is using mains water.
I find the drippers which are adjustable useless and wish to install sprayers.
I plan on also connecting a pump to use rainwater on this line as well by using one way valves, so mains will be used once rainwater runs out.
My thought is to install sprayers every 400-500mm with one in the front and one in the back of the shelf with every set on a tap so they can be shut off if no plants are in that section..
My bench is 400mm wide as well.
I prefer to buy online as bunnings are a joke on prices, my last project which was a fertiliser injected system for my veggie garden ended up costing me 1/3 less by buying everything online!!!
So suggestions would be really helpful...
What drippers/sprayer for a bench??

You can either install standard micro irrigation sprays and spray the whole bench area, or give each tree its own spray (or two if the trunk is fat).

The CFd is the best pot spray available.

I use plastic ones on my benches to cover large areas.
On the line behind the bench, about every 1/2 M, on the one infront a little less.
Brass micro sprayers on my individual trees ( 2 per tree) and these are controlled by inline tap

Michael
I got mine direct from SA manufacturer (Antelco), but the diygardener link on the second post above is cheaper.

Re: What drippers/sprayer for a bench??
Before I go online shopping For sprayers and stuff, I have a few questions.
I want to have the sprayers at the back of bench only with 3-4 over the 2.4m and wondering if they do the downwards sprayer in 1/2 circle and what heigh poles to people use.
My benches are 400mm wide as well and I wish to hide all irrigation lines...

This gives you an idea of the bench, I wish to have the irrigation lines hidden behind the pillars on the front bench, the back will have a bamboo backing at the bottom to disguise everything.
Painting of sleepers begins tomorrow and I have a temp irrigation setup for now.
So thoughts, ideas and pictures would be great.....
