Juniper - Previous Ausbonsai Community Market Day

Post by Watto »

As the 2016 Ausbonsai Community Market Day is fast approaching I thought it appropriate that I show a juniper what I acquired at the previous happening. My story is I helped out a mate by taking this off his hands, and his story probably is I ripped him off by getting this too cheap, but in any case that's not the story, the story is this quick progression.
I am not sure but I think its a Juniper X media that is an urban yamadori and I think it is showing signs of coming along quite nicely.
The first set of photos shows the tree in June so the foliage is a bit brown/purple but trust me it was quite healthy.

That "masked man" in the background of the previous photos is Mauro Stenberger who helped with the initial styling.

The proposed pot is an old Japanese pot that looks a lot bigger in the photo than it actually is, and if things go to plan I will put it in its new pot this year.

Beautiful material you have here. Gonna be a great tree.
Always we hope someone else has the answer.

I am hopeful that in a couple of years it will be OK. Thanks.
