So when I first started playing with bonsai again I had watching quite a few you tube videos, had reread the book I got for Christmas years earlier, with confidence in my self being high i thought im ready to go out and get my self some raw stock (some thing from a local nursery) and turn it into a bonsai.
So I headed down to my local flower power and after walking around there for what seamed like hours I took home a juniper procumbens nana, Got it home gave it a closer look and started to plan my attack.
After some though I had no idea what my plan of attack was or what style of bonsai I could make with the which was at the time very bushy procumbens nana, so I thought I would thin out the bottom to get a better look, still no idea. Ok well I will take a look at the nebari, i didn’t pull the dirt back enough to see the roots thought it just meant the base of the trunk so that gave me no direction… oh well I will just thin it out wire it up and see what I come up with.
So this I what I came up with
so i wasn't happy with it and it sat in my yard till last week after some inspiration from my class at bonsai south and a pointer from my teacher I went home and came up with this, I think it has a lot more direction and style…..thoughts?

Re: i had no direction
I prefer the first view of today as there is much more movement than your current front
Both are much better than the original attempt, but if me i woud bend it heaps more yet
