Brilliant work. Love to see it in a pot
A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.

Very nice work on that juniper mate.
I don't suppose you're coming to the convention in Adelaide this weekend?
After roughly 20 years of growing bonsai, I reckon I might just be starting to get the hang of it...

Nice result Andrew. You are obviously very skilled. How long did you study at the Fujikawa school.

Thanks all for the positive feedback. Was great stock and such a please to work on.
Steven:I will defiantly make a effort to get a few more post up,including some of the trees in the back ground.
I will try and get some close ups of the major bend and foliage over the weekend.
Scott:i wired all the small branches to make the pads full but also pruned them to shape once positioned.
Ash:would love to ,always enjoy sharing any knowledge i can.
Trident76:sadly I wont be making it to the convention,to much work on at the moment .hope you enjoy the weekend.

Just thought i would give an update on this juniper.Im currently off work with a knee injury so i have plenty of time on my hands to get stuck into my trees.
One of the issues that has bothered me with this tree from the start was the height of the apex and width of the foliage. It really took away from the interest of the trunk and the nice movement.
I plan on getting it into a pot in spring so i thought i would completely unwire the tree, see if i can lower the main branch that most of the upper foliage comes from and then rewire the whole tree.
I pushed the branch( and a few other smaller branches) as far i was willing to risk it and was able to reduce the height of the tree by about 10cm.
Im happy with how its prgressing and cant wait to get it into a pot ..... if i can find one.
Thanks
Andrew
