been thinking about this graft all day. the one thing bothering me is it not being wrapped in raffia or grafting tape under the zip ties. it may not need it but the fact you have opened up the cambiums, would be safer to do so. your photography is still lousy!

lol @ my photography

i know its crap photos, i dont have a good camera

i was wondering bout the wrapping of raffia or graft tape too... that is why i used the paste hoping that would help?????????
i can get the tape or raffia soon but am worried about taking the ties of and having any healing coming undone? can that happen??

when you graft, exposing the cambium, you should always paste and wrap! wrap and take the ties off 1 at a time as you go. should be fine.

Re: juniper squamata cascade, first attempt at cascade
righto antonio! done! i got the graft tape today, am quite happy with the results!
smeard a bit more paste on, wrapped in graft tape the zippy tied him back up, one at a time i took the ties off... was extremely happy that itt did not move at all..not even lift a bit, had a lose inspection of it and the join looks really good!
i didnt even bother going for the camera cause all i got at the moment is mobile phone camera...
no good there for clear shots.
anyways, will keep ya up to date!
