J. squamata full cascade in training

Post by literati79 »

Here is a J. squamata full cascade in training that I am working on at the moment. My aim right now is to bring that front branch up more to the horizontal. I've been doing it, but the tree is now having a rest.

I should add that this is the first time I have ever attempted this style. I think I have a pretty good grasp of what's involved, but any suggestions and/or feedback would be most appreciated.

My final aim is to have at least 3 main bends in the primary cascading branch, and the apex needs to be brought up a lot more and then reduced quite a bit, I'd to add a fair few jins in this section too I think. I also have plans for the same pot, but the next size up as I would like a little more thickness in the tree and also to give the whole tree a bit more balance, the cascading branch is quite long.
