Qld Bonsai Market Day 2016

The 2nd annual Qld Bonsai Market day is on again this year.

Saturday 14th of May from 9:00am - 1:30pm.

Everything bonsai will be on sale from Established Bonsai, raw stock trees, pots, potting mixes etc.

The available spots for selling on the day are filling very fast this year so if you are interested in booking one, let me know as soon as you can.
It is a condition of selling at this event that it must be Bonsai and Bonsai related goods only.

Location - Corner of Lyon and Grigor streets, Moffat Beach. Sunshine Coast.
When - Saturday 14th May 2016.

DAMMIT! Doesn't look like I'll be coming to this after all :'(

But I do endeavour to make a trip to brisbane area and surrounds to get some stock soon. Where would be the best place to get a fig or two?

Tess Simpson at bonsai Northside has some good stuff. Last time I was there (about 6 months ago) she had a variety of figs. Just depends what you're after. Also half way between Gold Coast and Brisbane is Australian bonsai grower, Steve. He has a large variety of plants and from what I remember a few different types of figs. He also has stock ranging in all different sizes and age.

Heading towards the Gold Coast you have Roger Lunt at Defined garden at chevron island. He may not have figs at the time but you might like something else he has to offer. He only has a small amount of nursery stock so that might not be what you're looking for. The last one is Red Dragon at Currumbin valley. He will have a range of figs and other trees. Chris is a great guy and always easy to chat too.

Another year been and gone. Thanks to everyone that participated in the market day and contributed to make it such a fun day again this year. There was some really good material for sale this year at great prices but it was once again the friendly atmosphere that made it so much fun.
