A rewarding species which responds to pruning by back budding (Common name Hawthorne), offered as hedging material - often has carved deadwood areas. Cuttings root easily.

Hi Stymie, talking about the cuttings how big can you go with them?, do you think if I cut one off at the base it would resprout, say one about an inch thick, I really detest digging them up, the grounds like rock where they are and they really hang on. :(
