Casuarina equisetifolia two years progression
Here my Australian Casuarina equisetifolia, that I bought two years ago. It was in a rather poor stage from what it is now, the wire was grown into the bark at some places and it took me a week daily clipping the dead branches out.I have since rewired it and from the way it look now, it shows he like his new home. Here the pictures year one - two.

Re: Casuarina equisetifolia two years progression
here the pictures year two progression about 6 weeks ago. Clipping was done 3-4 weeks interval, all by hand to avoid brown tips (changed to scissors, learned it did not make much difference ), I extend the lower branches by not clipping them, some are still weak, but growing at that time. I have not much back clipping, that will follow.

Yes it is, heavy to move and plenty of work, my biggest bonsai yet. If you look at the bark, before it was grey and full of pollution, and it did not start growing, after I cleaned it with a pressure cleaner it just jumped needles. The red looks also better I think.

Hi Andreas, that's a lovely pot. Is that an imported pot or made by Indonesian locals?Andreas wrote:Yes it is, heavy to move and plenty of work, my biggest bonsai yet.
