Hi everyone
Some of you might remember this tree that I collected last year about 10 moths ago, I am now looking to Layer the lower part of the tree, you can not see it in the pics however the bottom end has some great natural shari and is very dense and compact with growth and I can see a good tree in it.
The upper part of the tree seems to be also a tree unto it self as with the lower end, I think that if I was to style the main trunk the straight section in the middle would force me to remove the lower part anyway with the final design as it is to disconnected from the great movement the main truck has.
In my head the future design I have the straight section as a large gin with moment carved into it finishing where I have put the line and the lower section another tree.
I will take some pics of the lower section and put them up as well.
I would love your thoughts.

Fantastic tree, think I would do the same
Will be interesting to see where you go with the top portion, strong movement into the cascade branch, but can see a lot of interesting branches in the back.

A couple of sketches would be good to see what you have in mind?
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

I wouldn't worry about an air layer. Use the "tail" as a dramatic jin/shari and carve some real beauty into it. That will mean you get the opportunity to commence work on it sooner rather than later.

Have you got any photos from other angles, sides, or close up of the end of the tree... Seems to be a bit going on down there...

Re: One or Two
How do you envisage that potential layer being planted and positioned?
I think kept as it is it could be quite a dramatic tree!
