Advise on potting

Hi
I'm looking for some advise on a poor little syzgium that got pulled up last week because it was in the wrong place, I put it in a small pot and it seems like it might live
What is the best way to proceed if it does?

hi Tropicalgirl,
Its hard to say where you go from here if it survives without pictures of what it looks like now. If you google syzgium bonsai you can find a few ideas of a direction you may want to take it.

Greetings, because you have removed roots, you need to remove some leaves. Any new, red or soft leaves should come off. Trim at least half of each branch off, leaving half the leaves on. Keep it moist and warm. They are hardy. Happy bonsai, Bruce.

Thanks Guys,
here is a photo of the tree, most of the top got broken so I had to cut it off. It had not much more than its tap root left but it seems to be not dying. I kind of like the bend it has in the trunk.
The other photo is a group of the same plant I actually dug up, I like the grouping they have made,

I would normally allow transplants to grow freely for most of the first year. It has been through a traumatic experience and needs time to grow new leaves to renew the energy supply and new roots to supply food and water.
When it starts to grow feed it and water regularly to get it healthy.
When it is strong again you can look at all the branches and new shoots and decide what shape to make then just cut off all the bits that don't belong. Simple really.
