Purchased today at the workshop?

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.

This one I have been kindly allowed to layby. Been working on it over the last week or so when I get a chance to pop into the nursery. Managed to get a fair bit of work done on it at the workshop today though.

Nice work!

:fc: I'll make it to the next workshop and see it in the flesh.

Cheers Jarad. Was surprised you weren't at the last one.

...and again after a bit more work.

Have you got an idea for your final design?

Yes. It's actually easier to see what's going on properly in person but...

Here's what I have in mind though. I plan to remove that lower left branch and it will become a jin.

Then the second branch on the right will become the first branch. I will raise this branch and straighten out the end a bit.

The next branch up is a drop branch and I will train this the way I like and fill that pad back in.

Next branch will be raised, as will be the next branch after that.

The next branch will be brought down.

Then ther is that nice bend and here I will get to work on the apex.

Then who knows? More refinement, a smaller pot etc.

I guess in short though. I'm tidying up etc. and working towards a nice slanting style.
