Gardenia long in the ground, good root system, character trunk, awaiting upper structure development.
Gardenias shoot back on old wood and develop quickly. This needs a couple of years for a pleasing structure to develop but the potential is here. The trunk has reverse taper on one side but not on the others and a front can easily be chosen with two strong possibilities.
