I'm curious how you guys shelf your cascades outside.
I'm trying to train a few and am struggling to find a good spot them where they aren't at risk of falling.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Cascade Bonsais
I've never actually had any fall over due to wind. My dog has knocked them over repeatedly as he chases lizards but never a problem with wind. Now I keep them away from the dog and they are fine.

Re: Cascade Bonsais
No dogs so that is fine, but my most unstable one I have a wire throught the drain holes and tied to larger piece of timber to keep it stable rather than tying to the bench itself.
by doing that i can still lift and move it.

Re: Cascade Bonsais
Hi Daluke , mate I have never had an issue as the pots usually balance the tree , I probably over pot most things specially cascades . Wiring sounds like the plan if required , I only tie them down to stop the thieves and vandals .

Re: Cascade Bonsais
Wire or Bungee cords will do the trick. Problem with Bungee cords is they will perish over time, so need to be replaced.

Hi Daluke,
Another method for smaller pots is a plank of wood with a large spike sticking out of it. Added advantage is extra aeration everytime you impale your tree!
