I prefer it from these angles, but you are right about the other branches being problematic. They are problematic though anyway though and you should try to find a way to deal with them. Perhaps you need a few years thread grafted branches on the main trunk to allow you to cut these off in a few years time. It's a ficus so it should thread graft really easily.
