Water Gum (Tristaniopsis laurina) as Bonsai

I have one where the roots are really bad. Twisted and strongly going down. I'd like to recreate the entire nebari. I don't think pruning hard will do as I need the roots up high. Any chance I can regrow as a cutting or airlayer.

You should be able to Airlayer easily
