This started around 8 or 9 years ago and my error was to not coat the Hebel with anything and half of the tower bottom broke off in the bag it was growing in, more bits broke off during the growing, man what you learn along the way!!
likewise not taking the tree out of the pot meant that the roots grew straight down the side of the structure not through or around it as I have managed to get done before, man what you learn along the way, whoa Sorry I already said that.
I have hacked branches a couple of times trying to get it "right", bent it, twisted it, and just outright treated it badly.
any way this is what I have done with what has been left of it, there are progression photos somewhere but I am 400 klms from home and just felt like posting, hope you enjoy anyway, this now recent defoliated wired and I think at least has some direction for the upcoming growing season.
maybe front,
learn from your mistakes

Just an update, one year on, as always, happy to present the good and the bad and look forward to some directional assistance.
