I'll be the first to admit I don't always get it right (heck, most of the time) but I do love "havin' a go".
So I present this in the realm of "havin' a go".
It is one of my "chainsawed" bougie stumps of previous posts and was chainsawed around 2 (?) years ago but for whatever reason it never got posted, you and I know it's not for reasons of embarrassment, I think I've done enough of that on the forum anyway. But it was put aside and not posted, no excuses, no reasons.
I know, and I'll be told again, bougie is a soft wood and will not last as a carving, yep, hear ya', but it won't stop me practising on it.
This piece of deadwood started out as a live branch and for no reason that I can ascertain it died while the rest of the tree remained completely healthy, go figure, so I had to something with it, saw it off, NEVER!!.
The pot is another of my (poor) attempts at chicken wire and concrete but I do like it better than the first pot and it was custom-made(LOL) for the purpose.
anyhow enough of the chatter..............to the tree
first photos back in May of this year;
and it's new (?) pot
thanks for viewing
