Acmena or Syzygium Lilly Pilly

Post by Pup »

This was on the raffle table at last night meeting. After all the people had taken there prizes. This was left, Sue Mrs Pup runs the raffle. She asked if any one wanted it the answer was no. So it was given to me :!: .

We have had a lot of discussion here about what to do. Well lets see what we would do with this. Apparently it was some ones hedge that is why we are not sure which one it is. I will post pictures of how it looked this morning 1 hour ago then this afternoon I will post what I did see how close you got. The virtual virtuoso's are more than welcome. If it goes for long enough I might hold of posting till tomorrow. Here then are the before Pic's.

Does not look like any one is willing to have a go at what they would do :!: Why :?:

If you think about a little it will come to you.

Well, it might take some time, but I'll show you how I achieved it:

I had hoped to turn that downward facing branch into a surface root. Hopefully you can find more nice ones on the right. (The white lines are where I have root pruned.)

Bavarian Pilsener, eh? Perhaps coffee is the go, as it's only 3PM here. :|

Thanks.

Fly.

I like where you went Fly. I must admit I have not gone that far over. The likeness is uncanny though. No PK pot though as I have to rest it now and get some growth into it. As I said the likeness is uncanny, what is they say about great minds  . They explode
Will post tonight. Let us see if we can get some more having a shot we have one who is at work poor sod. That would interfere with my life style :P

Some more sweet progression on this lilly pilly. In less than a month there are more shoots, and some lower down so I will have some in the right places for sure.
Here are some pics.
