Re: Help ID on plants
im in the same boat there mate, i have two at the moment and am recieving two tomorrow, and i am sure they will have some form of variation between them all.MasonC wrote:yer. i have 3 tridents and all them have different bark and leaves
the only way to propagate the same type of leave, bark etc is to take cuttings, there fore having the same genetics of the parent tree.
i am starting to wonder how much variation i am going to have with the 100 seeds i bought.

Re: Help ID on plants
im not sure mate, but i do know it comes down to the genetics side of things, the combination of the parent trees. as you can appreciate the fact that if one tree is pollanised by another tree one year you get a mix of the two trees characteristics. where as if that same tree is pollanised by a different tree the next year it will display different characteristics of those two trees, or there maybe multiple cross polinations by serveral trees causing that same trees seed to display multiple different characteristics from the trees it was pollanised by.
