I bought this group planting early 2015, and realized I hadn't posted them up in their own thread.
Original group:
I was pretty new to Bonsai when I got this group and Hugh Grant came around to guide me through mixing this planting up and here was the result:
Only 5 of the figs made it into the group, the one on the left in the original photo was separated from the group and place into it's own pot to think about the decisions it had made. This photo was taken shortly after I had given it a trim, that's why its bleeding. It will be getting wired and trimmed more in the coming weeks so stay tuned.

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.

Re: PJ Fig Group
Yep ... that's what happens "fig on the left" when you try and go it alone
... group plantings are a team sport, remember that next time!
I like your foam box arrangement, the grouping is much more dynamic than the original. Definitely an improvement.
Nice!

Hahaha, too right.
Cheers mate, I like it better too. Am now playing the waiting game for them to fuse together. They are no longer in the foamy, I had to buy a clay pot as the foam just wasn't strong enough.

Re: PJ Fig Group
Thanks Mel.
The group was looking a little average last time I checked up on it, so I gave it some fert and hopefully next time I see it I can sit down and work on it.

Here's an update of the group, the new groutp is looking much better after the feed. They will be getting a tidy up when I find some spare time.
