Hardcut juniper

Post by bonsaeen »

Can i cut the trunk of a juniper now given its almost end of summer? It does have a sacrificial branch but the trunk is very even sized almost all the way to top so i was thinking to hard cut it to get some taper.

It is hard to give a definitive answer without some more details. Photos often give lots of extra info.
In general I would be happy to cut a juniper now but I would need to be sure that enough was left to keep it alive and growing.
