Shari and Deadwood Work
This has been my trial tree for the last 3 years. I did a lot of experiments since then from trunk splitting, heavy bending, shari and deadwood works. Finally it has come to this point and i'll work more on the foliage in the coming years.

Re: Shari and Deadwood Work
The top 1/2 of the tree I love fantastic work as is the shari work . im in 2 minds about that cascading branch and second trunk but that's what makes this unique so I think it needs to stay just something needs tweaking maybe..... I cant see it but maybe some other members will. Great tree/pot combo too

Re: Shari and Deadwood Work
Agree Matthew, its too cluttered. The first branch behind the shari on the left needs to be moved?? or removed?
And the branch coming down on the left needs to be tweeked out a bit more to the left
it might be in the right place if that first branch behind the shari is removed? Hard to say. But with all the crossing at that point, it draws your eye to the clutter away from the design of the tree.
Great shari and jin work though

Re: Shari and Deadwood Work
Thanks guys
this used to be the back. I just recently turned it around due to the better movement of live vein and shari, also better jins. I have to turned some branches around to fill in the new front. The first branch (lowest left), i think ill be keeping that one and will work on it as I go. It needs to be moved further forward. I have to work the foliage all over again and hopefully they will be put on the right places.
Photo below was the original front and ive been working on it for 3 years. Hoping I made a right decision

Lovely stuff pjames. I’m envious. I love the way that bottom branch hovers - just at ground level - quite beautiful.[THUMBS UP SIGN]
