Korea bonsai museum
While in Seoul i made some time to get out to the bonsai museum. Fantastic place and quite large. They have several large hothouses with the majority of trees kept there because winters are pretty severe ranging dwn to -20. A lot of species including privett, azealea, japanese and trident maples, some form of yew,red and black pine, chinese juniper, wisteria, quince, apples to name a few . Been summer time a certain amount of trees have been moved out into the open. Some of the Korean hornbeans would be 4 man trees and id estimate 200plus kilos each.

Re: Korea bonsai museum
well worth it. The lady there spoke some English and was very happy to show me around. I only noticed 2 little old ladies working on some trees defoliating them. The scale is impressive and there grow areas are amazing. Heaps more pics to come. Some unbelievable yews also.no idea wrote:Fair dinkum, I'd have to take an esky and a hammock to look at all those
