Wrapped by Wisteria!!

Post by Jester »

Hi guys, today I was at Gardens ' R ' Us in Kensington NSW and took the opportunity to photograph this wisteria which has been wrapped around a post and has proceeded to arch around to the roof. I am amazed at the thickness of it. Imagine trying to take it back off?. I should have asked how long it had been there for!! :geek:

It would be really cool if you could drill the post out of the centre, you would get an amazing hollow wistera feature in the nursery.

yer. that would be cool. I know a man down the coast whos name is stan and he grew a bonsai around a peice of copper log and then once it had taken a spiral shape he took the wood out and it had a hollow section in the middle. Looked interesting

sorry to bring up an old post, but i did some work experience at that nursery, and the wisteria is supposed to be about 20+ years old. Apparently it was planted around the time the place opened or so.
