First Trident Maple

Post by Darren S »

Hi everyone,
I am looking for some advice on styling my first Trident. My son is keen on a upright/broom style tree but we are open to any suggestions that people have to offer.
Thanks to Shibui for getting this and another Trident over to me in Adelaide. :)
Thanks in advance.
Darren

Hi Darren

That's some nice material you have. Here is my style suggestion:

The red is what I suggest you remove, and the brown is the proposed trunk shape.

You may also want to style it similar to this tree:

Hope this helps!

That is a great tree mountain frost. Darren broom would look great or you could also try a flat top, flame ( like the gingkos)

So I finally got around to chopping this maple (it was a little nerve racking). Just looking for a bit of advice on what to do with the top branches- which ones to chop, which one to keep.
Also any other advice is completely welcome- this was my first attempt!
