White Spruce multi trunk ideas

Post by quodlibet_ens »

I picked up this White Spruce during the week because I really like what I though was a twin trunk. Turns out there are a few more. I'd be greatful to hear any thoughts on styling this one. I was also tossing up the idea of splitting the tree and keeping roots intact to create several multi trunk trees.

Below are photos of the tree and some ideas for multi trunk trees I've taken from a book I have on Literati Penjing.

I would keep all 9 trunks together. All you need to do at the moment is wire the smaller trunks so they are all straight as the larger ones, and thin out any overly strong areas elsewhere. The smaller trunks can lean but they should be straight imo. If you remove any trunks, think about taking 2 from the two heavy trunks.
