plum of plums
this was on show tonight at bonsai north west. it belongs to hahn at barloc nursery.

Now that after my liking ,nice carving work . Mines a growing slow and steady . Any idea what type of Plum .Cheers

Now that's a plum! I'm a bit of a plum fan but have nothing like that. I like the foliage shape and the carving, very impressive.

I guess I'm the only one that finds the whole thing incongruous.
The trunk suggests a tree that is ancient and has struggled with every conceivable nasty thrown at it. But the top is suggestive of a young, vibrant healthy plant.
I does not work, it's incongruous.
