While out and about in the garden today, I was particularly attracted to a few smaller bougies I have that are in flower.
grabbed the camera and snapped a few to share.
Enjoy

Re: Winter Bouganvillea flowering
Always great to see some colour in the middle of winter
Very healthy, good looking bougainvillea's Ken all three. I particularly like the maroon one. Would that be a an air layer,
branch cutting or other ??
Also very interested to know do you use your usual mix in these small pots, DE/Zeolite, or vary it in some way?. Like
much more fine stuff!!
cheers
Bob.

Re: Winter Bouganvillea flowering
I love the colour from my bougies too, I have a couple in flower, but none as well trained as yours.
I was so inspired by your lovely larger white one, I bought one for myself. It's decided to go deciduous on me, and has lost all its leaves over the past month, but now it's budding madly, so hopefully it'll be back in flower again soon too.

but yes smaller ones can easily be taken as cuttings or layers at just about any time of the year here.
Larger ones I airlayer only
My mix for these is the same Zeolite/ diatomite as I have used for many years, just sifted to smaller than 3mm for the small pots.
Note I have added Pumice and Akadama to my mix now that I have it
1 bag each of Diatomite, Zeolite, Pumice and Akadama from now on
Ken
