The start of a great thread I'm sure.
Collected this Elm from a Gaulburn dig way back in 04. My very first tree I ever collected and what a trunk for my first attempt. Never done any carving or jining on the trunk and left it to show it's natural undisturbed age.

Nice treemate , don’t you love how these trees roll over the bark to make it look entirely different in years to come . They just get bettter with age naturally .
Great thread, I have just been given access to a whole grove of mowed/chewed EE and wonder what time of year best to collect them? Over to you experts?????
