Flowers on wisteria sucker

I read on a post that wisteria suckers aren’t guaranteed to flower and I’m hoping for more info.
I took a sucker off an American wisteria and assumed I wouldn’t have to wait 10 or so years for it to flower.
Does anyone have any experience with said suckers they could pass on.

I have a little sucker growing in my yard for 2yrs now but no flowers
Parent tree flowered heaps before neighbours killed it but no early flowers on young one's.
I think you might be waiting a while like me

I planted a sucker from a friend's wisteria in 2015 and this year it flowered for the first time but LOTS of flowers-- this was it's third year in the ground and it has now reached two metres high.There is hope.

Suckers are part of the original plant so they are effectively the same age. It may take a couple of years for it to develop flowering wood, depending how it is treated and the conditions it has to endure.

It is seedlings that take ages to mature and flower.

That confirms my theory. I had thought it would still take a few years to mature enough to flower but I was hoping not 10yrs.
