Just wondering how the ground layer turned out on the Celtis you did last September, and also what you ended up doing with the Serissa in terms of styling from about the same time?

Haven't done anything to the Serissa yet but the Celtis was separated last week. I'll leave it to settle it's new roots for a while before wiring the branches. The first RH branch is just about thick enough now so I'll be shortening it soon back to the first twig.

Looks like it hasn't missed a beat and that right branch has thickened up nicely - no holding back with growth despite the ground layer!
It's a nice little tree with good movement/dynamics about it I think.

Here's a couple that I've worked on this week.

First is a Willow Leaf fig that I put on this rock in 2015. I should uncover it and see how it has bonded.

Hi Steven, any updates on your shohin in autumn colours? Would love to see your tridents at this time of the year!

There isn't a lot of colour in my garden. Lots of deciduous have gone brown rather than colouring up.

This Trident is probably the best colour I have.
