this has been very slowly growing on a meleleuca for months

Ild be interested to know aswell. Seen it on a few mels locally, some times red coloured and sometimes just the remnants of them

It could be, though i've not see that one before if it is. In a heathland near me the volunteers have been trying to get an indigenous variety to spread more widely and it certainly is slow growing and has a habit similar to this though it does look very different.
