Greetings all
As the title suggests i am looking for Japanese Maple variety Arakawa known as the Rough Bark Japanese Maple.
It seems not many people are growing it, i have tried the usual places like Conifer Gardens Nursery and Nishiki Nursery here so it might be down to finding someone in the community here who has some.
Preferably in Melbourne area for convenience, but given it is uncommon i'm just hoping to find it first of all.

I'm surprised Nishiki doesn't have any. They had several not so long ago. Mind you they were grafted tree's which ultimately has to be air layered off to have their own rough bark root system.
I have had success doing this and now have one growing well on it's own roots. Yamina's will also be grafted.

Visited Yamina today and got a couple of young Arakawas along with a bunch of other interesting varieties. Thanks for the recommendation.
