I planted some root cuttings from, I think, a fruit tree, possibly a crab apple, however the leaves are different now they're shooting, so I'm guessing they're from the root stock. Any ideas what it might be?

Re: Fruit tree?
Well that's reassuring, thanks Elmer. The tree that the root cuttings came from has leaves more like my apple, which is why I'm confuzzled...Looks like my crab apple leaves...

Re: Fruit tree?
Thanks Ryceman, it does look similar.
Now I'm excited, since I seem to have been able to get at least three pieces to start budding!
