Seedling I.D.

Post by boom64 »

Hi all ,
Looking for some information in regards to these seedlings. I let all my natives flower this year , in a effort to collect some seeds. The seedlings in the picture have been coming up in my Coastal Tee Trees pots ,however to me they look like Kunzeas . Maybe they are very similar ,not sure , hopefully someone can set me straight. Cheers John.

Could easily be kunzea of some sort. At this stage could be any number of species from that family. Grow them on and see what they look like when they start to get adult foliage.
A list of species that have flowered might help to narrow it down a bit.

Thanks Shibui ,I guess I was being a bit optimistic with these as in the tea tree pots as I hoped they were tea trees. At some stages there were seeds blowing in every direction. I will pot up what i can and be patient. I have several Leptos and have been collecting the large seed pods as they dry out and turn brown. I am sure I probably missed a few. Several other Trees I know from previous years plus a a couple that still are a mystery. I will report back at a latter date. Regards John
